Our college…!! G Pulla Reddy Engineering College(Autonomous), is an ISO 9001: 2008 certified institution and the oldest engineering college of Kurnool, situated in Andhra Pradesh, India. It is an autonomous institute founded by philanthropist and entrepreneur late Sri G. Pulla Reddy Garu on 22 February 1985 and is affiliated to JNTUA, Anantapur. It is approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) of UGC,NBA of AICTE. The college always encourages students to enhance their knowledge through various technical and non technical events. The college also provides space for social awareness programs like Vivekananda study circle (VSC), Centre for Awareness and Discussion (CAD), Bhuvanavijayam (A cultural and literary forum) and various activities like annual fests to enhance the student potential in all respects.
The department of EEE was established in 1994 with the aim of imparting high quality technical education in the area of Electrical and Electronics Engineering with an intake of 60. The intake was increased to 120 from 2008 and is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapur. The department is headed by Dr. T. Bramhananda Reddy. The department has a strong pool of faculty with 2 Ph.D.’s 24 M.Tech.’s. It boasts of having highly qualified faculty with an unparalleled level of expertise in their field. The pure expertise and dedication of the faculty members along with infrastructural facilities coupled with perseverance of the students have catapulted the branch to the top league.The Department is offering one Post Graduate Program with the specialization in Power Electronics with an intake of 18. Active research is going on in the areas of Power Systems, Power Electronics & Drives and Control Systems.
